We are seeking to appoint a dynamic, inspirational and highly motivated Teacher of English to join our dedicated team of English teachers with a track record of exceptional results. This post is for a permanent full-time position from September 2026 or sooner. This role could include lead practitioner responsibilities for the right candidate. The successful candidate will be working within a friendly and supportive team situated in a modern, purpose-built English block with excellent facilities.
Our school is highly successful and oversubscribed, with EBacc entries well above the national average, and successful results for students, whether they are disadvantaged, SEND or Gifted and Talented. We value the development of the whole child, and encourage students to take part in a wide range of co-curricular activities. Outdoor education is very popular with our students, and we usually have a large proportion of Y10 participating in the Bronze DofE award, with many progressing to the higher awards. We also run a range of trips each year, both abroad and in the UK, culminating in a popular 'activities week' at the end of the year.
Norton Hill is part of the Midsomer Norton School Partnership (MNSP), a growing Multi Academy Trust where Norton Hill has a reputation for innovation in teaching & learning and leads the way on secondary English strategy, including curriculum, assessment, monitoring and intervention.
