In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across the site. Your efforts will ensure that our spaces are hygienic, organised, and inviting for staff, students, and visitors alike. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a professional setting where cleanliness directly impacts overall experience and safety.**Responsibilities:*** Perform thorough cleaning of floors, surfaces, toilets, and common areas using appropriate cleaning tools and supplies* Ensure all areas are sanitized according to health and safety standards* Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap, and cleaning products to maintain operational readiness* Handle waste disposal efficiently and responsibly in designated bins and recycling stations* Maintain equipment cleanliness and report any malfunctions or damages promptly* Follow established cleaning schedules and procedures to ensure consistency and quality* Assist with special cleaning projects or deep cleans as needed to uphold high standards of hygiene* To use all cleaning materials and equipment in a safe and proper manner in accordance with the instructions and procedures determined by the Midsomer Norton Schools Partnership.* Complete all appropriate records and documentation as required.* Complete online training as required.* To ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety and security regulations.* Carry out such other duties as are required, and as are commensurate with the grade of the post.**Requirements:*** Prior commercial cleaning experience is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided* Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to cleanliness* Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment* Good physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks such as sweeping, mopping, lifting, and bending* Nice-to-have skills include experience in hotel housekeeping, commercial cleaning, or related fields such as cooking or customer service that demonstrate reliability and service orientation* Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude are essential for collaborating with team members and supporting a welcoming environment* Join us in creating clean spaces where people feel comfortable and cared for!
