An exciting opportunity has arisen for a strong candidate to join the Office Team at Notton House Academy as a School Admin Assistant to support the office and administration functions for the School. We are looking for an adaptable, flexible and resourceful team member to work within the Office Team.
Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Thursday, 8.00 am to 4.15 pm, Friday 8.00 am to 3.00 pm, term time only, plus 5 inset days, and 5 days to be worked during academy holidays.
Salary: MNSP Grade 4 Scale point 7-10 £26,403 - £27,694 pro rata; Actual salary £23,292 - £24,431 per annum (PAY AWARD PENDING)
Welcome to Notton House Academy. We are sure you are excited about learning more about the wonderful educational and residential provision that we provide to vulnerable young people aged 8-19. Pupils with an EHCP (Educational and Health Care Plan) are referred to Notton House due to their specific social and emotional needs. Many of our young people have experienced adverse childhood experiences, others have a diagnosis of Autism, ADHD, and many have speech, language, and communication needs; but all of our young people require a bespoke and therapeutic programme, in order to be happy, to achieve and succeed, and to eventually, to lead a healthy, and independent life.

Skills and Experience
Experience of working in a school environment is desirable, but not essential, as we firmly believe it is about the individual person and what they can bring to the role, and how they can contribute positively to changing young people’s lives. You will be joining an experienced team of professional colleagues, who are dedicated and well-trained.
It is expected that the successful candidate would possess the following attributes:

- Evidence of a good basic education.
- A friendly and courteous manner.
- Ability to work cooperatively as part of a team.
- Previous administration or receptionist experience.
- Capability to follow written or spoken instructions accurately and to complete the required activity.
- Desirable
- Relevant experience in Local Government / or Academy preferably in a school environment.
- Typing/Word Processing to RSA II or equivalent.
- Capability to use word processing packages – Microsoft 365 and Google.
- Capability to work toward QCF 2 in business administration or related areas.
- Aptitude to adapt working style to meet the needs both of adults and of children.

About our Academy:
We are a residential academy for boys, aged 8-19, with 50 students on roll and situated in leafy Wiltshire. We deliver both education and care to a wide range of young people with Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND). This includes Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH), Speech, Language and Communication needs (SLCN) and Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC). The residential aspect of the school enables students access to an extensive range of extracurricular experiences, stability and time to build confidence and skills in a supportive and nurturing environment.
