Lunchtime Cover Assistant (2-Year-Old Room)

Location: Midsomer Norton Primary School

Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only + Training time

Hours: Monday – Friday, 12:00 pm – 1:30 pm (7.5 hours per week)

Salary: Full-Time Equivalent (FTE): £24,796.00 – £26,403.00 Actual Pro-Rata Salary: £4,414.80 – £4,700.91 per annum

Key Responsibilities

  • Fostering Healthy Habits: Help create a warm, family-style dining environment, encouraging toddlers to try foods, learn mealtime manners, and build independence.
  • Play & Exploration: Transition children smoothly from lunch to outdoor or indoor play, supporting their social interactions and imagination.
  • Nurturing Care: Provide a safe, welcoming, and reassuring presence during a busy time of the nursery day.

About You

  • Passionate & Caring: You have a genuine love for working with young children and understand the unique needs of two-year-olds.
  • A Team Player: Reliable, patient, and keen to foster a positive, fun environment.
