The Role:
- Team: Research, within Commercial
- Location: Remote Leeds, UK (occasional in office requirement)
Research at Midnite is directly tied to commercial performance and product development. As a Researcher, you will help to generate the insights that shape our future growth strategy, brand positioning and product roadmap. From tracking our market share and key brand metrics, all the way through to observing how players actually use our product, your work will inform decisions that impact revenue, retention and long-term positioning. This is an opportunity to build strong technical foundations while seeing first hand how research translates into measurable commercial outcomes.
You will:
- Support the delivery of quantitative and qualitative research projects across commercial, growth, trading, casino, and product teams
- Set up and manage ad-hoc surveys, including scripting, sample management and data quality checks
- Monitor data integrity and ensure all outputs are accurate, reliable, and decision‑ready
- Conduct basic quantitative analysis using tools such as Q, SPSS, or Displayr with guidance from senior researchers
- Assist with qualitative research preparation, including drafting discussion guides, co‑ordinating sessions, note taking, and transcript coding
- Help to run moderated and unmoderated user testing to identify product pain points and opportunities for improvement
- Contribute to KPI tracking for the business, covering metrics such as market share, share of wallet, brand awareness and consideration
- Support report creation and stakeholder presentations, translating findings into clear and actionable recommendations
- Coordinate operational elements of research including scheduling, fieldwork management, and research administration
Requirements:
- Has previous exposure to quantitative and or qualitative research methods either through study or at least one year’s experience in a commercial or agency research role
- Understands core commercial metrics such as retention, acquisition, brand awareness, consideration, and market share
- Has experience supporting survey programming, research operations, or data handling processes
- Has some level of experience with user testing platforms, survey scripting solutions and dedicated research analysis software (e.g. Displayr, SPSS, Q)
- Demonstrates high attention to detail and a strong commitment to data accuracy
- Communicates clearly one-to-one and in group settings, and can build rapport quickly with stakeholders and users
- Shows curiosity and a proactive mindset toward improving research processes and outputs
- Is comfortable dealing with ambiguity and can react appropriately in a fast moving commercial environment
- Holds a relevant degree in a quantitative, social science, business, or research-related discipline
