This is the most senior leadership role in South Africa, responsible for turning a growing international hub into a high‑performing, scalable, and fully aligned extension of the business. You will act as the operational and cultural anchor on the ground, ensuring multiple teams operate cohesively while partnering closely with the wider leadership team. The role is critical to shaping how Midnite scales internationally, bringing consistency, structure, and performance across a matrix of teams without losing the speed and ambition that defines us.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the South Africa office as the primary on‑ground leadership presence, owning how the office operates day to day.
  • Drive alignment and consistency across Player Support, Compliance, and shared support functions.
  • Set and uphold high standards for people leadership, performance management, and culture across teams.
  • Identify cross‑team operational, structural, and people related gaps, and turn these into clear improvement plans.
  • Lead and scale shared support functions including Workforce Management, Training & Development, and Workplace Experience.
  • Partner closely with UK stakeholders to ensure strong alignment between strategy and local execution.
  • Act as the central point for office‑wide decisions across people, operations, and workplace matters.
  • Support planning for office growth, org design, and future capability build‑out.
  • Work cross‑functionally with People, Finance, and Tax to ensure the office operates consistently and compliantly.
  • Leverage technology, automation, and AI to improve operational efficiency and scalability.

Qualifications

  • Has experience leading multi‑functional or matrix organisations, not just a single team.
  • Has built, scaled, or stabilised an operational hub or office environment.
  • Brings strong operational judgment and can identify and prioritise the highest‑impact problems.
  • Can perform and lead operational gap analysis across teams (people, process, tools, structure).
  • Is highly effective at managing senior stakeholders with competing priorities.
  • Can create alignment and consistency across teams with different ways of working.
  • Understands how functions like workforce management, training, and QA support scalable operations.
  • Is a visible, hands‑on leader who builds trust, drives culture, and takes full ownership of outcomes.

Benefits

  • 13th cheque policy giving you an extra annual boost on top of your salary.
  • Retirement fund contributions to help you build long term financial security.
  • Employee Assistance Programme offering confidential support whenever you need it.
  • Severe illness cover providing financial protection if life throws the unexpected your way.
  • Life cover to give you and your loved ones added peace of mind.
  • Income continuation benefit to protect your earnings if you are unable to work.
  • Funeral cover to support you and your family during difficult times.
