The Role
We’re looking for a Senior Commercial & Strategy Manager to work closely with our VP Commercial, supporting performance across the business. This role sits at the centre of the business, helping connect performance across key areas and ensuring we’re focusing on the metrics that matter most. You’ll focus on tracking, analysing, and communicating key commercial metrics, while working with teams to identify what needs to improve — and helping shape how we get there. Alongside core performance, you’ll also support a range of commercial initiatives designed to drive growth and retention, including new product features, promotional mechanics, and market expansion.
You will:
- Own the ongoing view of player and revenue performance across the business, including:
- Retention and reactivation trends across cohorts (by product, acquisition source, and player segment)
- Cohort payback and lifetime value, with a clear view of how quickly and sustainably we’re generating value
- ARPU and value distribution across sportsbook, casino, and cross-product players
- The impact of bonuses and promotions on both short-term activity and long-term value
- From acquisition → onboarding → early engagement → long-term retention
- Identifying where players are dropping off, and where value is being created or lost
- Sportsbook: staking behaviour, margin dynamics, event-level engagement, promotional impact
- Casino: game mix, session frequency, cross-sell dynamics, consistency of revenue
- Retention & Promotions: how incentives, features, and experiences influence engagement, frequency, and long-term value
- How acquisition quality impacts retention and LTV
- How onboarding and early experience shape long‑term behaviour
- How incentives and features influence engagement, frequency, and value (beyond immediate uplift)
- Free‑to‑play games as retention and engagement drivers
- Rewards and loyalty frameworks (e.g. progression systems, incentives, VIP mechanics)
- Promotional mechanics such as prize draws and campaigns
- New market and territory launches
- Setting clear KPIs upfront
- Tracking performance post‑launch
- Identifying what’s working and what needs to evolve
- Explaining shifts in retention, revenue, and payback in a clear, structured way
- Distinguishing between short‑term effects and sustainable improvements
- Where to focus to improve performance
- What needs to change in product, retention, or promotions
- Helping teams prioritise initiatives with the biggest impact
Requirements
- Experience in iGaming / betting is essential
- 4+ years’ experience in commercial, analytics, or strategy roles
- Strong understanding of player economics and lifecycle metrics (retention, LTV, payback, ARPU, etc.)
- Proven ability to turn analysis into clear, actionable insight
- Technical & analytical capability:
- Strong hands‑on experience with data and BI tools
- Comfortable using tools such as Omni, Looker, Tableau (or similar) to independently explore data and build analysis
- Comfortable working across multiple teams (product, marketing, trading, finance)
- Strong communication skills — able to explain complex issues in a simple, structured way
- Collaborative approach — works with teams to improve performance, not just report on it
- Structured thinker with strong attention to detail
Nice to have:
- Experience across both sportsbook and casino
- SQL or experience working closely with data teams
- Familiarity with lifecycle / retention mechanics
How we work
- Collaborative and low ego
- Data‑informed decision making
- Clear, direct communication
- Focus on continuous improvement
Why this role
This role is central to how we understand and improve performance as a business. You’ll have visibility across all key areas — from core product performance through to new initiatives and market expansion — and play an important role in helping teams make better, more informed decisions. If you enjoy working with data, partnering with teams, and improving how a business performs, this role is a strong fit.
