A vacancy has arisen for an Early Years Practitioner to act as a member of the Early Learning and Childcare team, with full involvement in the work of the Early Level curriculum, and where appropriate the pre-Birth to Three Framework, helping to contribute to the care and education of children. This is a Children’s Service Network (CSN) post. Initially you will be based at Auchenblae School Nursery, but you may be required to work elsewhere within the Laurencekirk CSN. The successful candidate will be employed on a 45.04 week per year contract. There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality and service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service of the organisation. Fixed term for a period not exceeding 02/07/2026. This position is subject to Local Government terms and Conditions.
Responsibilities
- Act as a member of the Early Learning and Childcare team with full involvement in the Early Level curriculum.
- Provide support for the pre-Birth to Three Framework where appropriate.
- Contribute to the care and education of children.
- Demonstrate a commitment to quality and service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and organisation.
Qualifications and Requirements
- PVG Scheme or PVG Scheme update check required.
- Overseas Criminal Record Check for continuous period of 3 months or more outside the UK in the last 5 years required.
- SSSC registration within 3 months of employment required.
- Minimum of 2 references, one must be current or most recent employer.
Contract and Terms
- Fixed term not exceeding 02/07/2026.
- 45.04 week per year contract.
