Overview
To undertake all aspects of Building Standards work including planning, checking and undertaking site inspections in accordance with the Building (Scotland) Act 2003, associated guidance policies and supporting legislation. Specifically securing the health, safety, welfare and convenience of persons in or about buildings and furthering the conservation of fuel, power and sustainable construction.
This post is part of a career grade scheme and salary placement will be in accordance with the scheme.
There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.
Responsibilities
- Undertake all aspects of Building Standards work including planning, checking and site inspections in accordance with relevant legislation and guidance.
- Ensure health, safety, welfare and convenience of persons in or about buildings and contribute to the conservation of fuel, power and sustainable construction.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of service delivery.

- A current valid driving licence is required for this post.
- This post has a minimum requirement of one reference, which must be your current or most recent employer.
