A vacancy has arisen for an Early Years Practitioner to act as a member of the Early Learning and Childcare team, with full involvement in the work of the Early Level curriculum, and where appropriate the pre‑Birth to Three Framework, helping to contribute to the care and education of children.

The post holder is responsible for demonstrating a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.

This position is a Childrens Service Network (CSN) post, initially based at Alford Primary School and may require work elsewhere within the Alford CSN. It is a term‑time post operating in an 8‑6 setting; candidates must be available between these hours.

Applicants must obtain SSSC registration within three months of employment. The role is regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of three months or more out of the UK in the last five years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required and must be provided. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both pre‑employment checks being deemed satisfactory.

The post has a minimum requirement of two references, one of which must be from the current or most recent employer. This fixed‑term position will continue until 26/03/2027.
