A recognised professional qualification in transport management, such as the Transport Manager Certificate of Professional Competence (TM CPC), or an equivalent relevant qualification, would be advantageous. For the right candidate who can demonstrate the required fleet compliance, transport and workshop knowledge, the Council will support their continued professional development, including the opportunity to work towards achieving the Transport Manager CPC. The successful candidate will have access to Midlothian council’s generous staff pension scheme; salary sacrifice scheme and further staff discounts through partner organisations. KNOWLEDGE Educated to SCQF Level 7 (HNC level or equivalent technical/professional qualification) in a subject appropriate to the area of responsibility, or able to demonstrate significant relevant experience in a local authority of comparable size and complexity.
