We are looking for an enthusiastic team player who has minute taking experience to co-ordinate meetings for our care experienced young people within Children Services. The role will involve either working with the practice teams or family centred care team who oversee our registered services for fostering and adoption.

Educational:

  • Essential: The Jobholder requires a minimum qualification to HNC/ SVQ3 level in business studies, office management or administration or an acceptable equivalent qualification and/or extensive demonstrative experience to this level in one of the identified disciplines would be an acceptable alternative.

Experience:

  • Essential: To be competent in the role the Jobholder must have good interpersonal skills and knowledge of the various systems and software including Microsoft packages. S/he must also have previous experience of working to strict deadlines, co-ordinating and taking minutes and producing complex documents. S/he must also be able to type at speed.
  • Desirable: An understanding of the services the Council provides to the community and the relevant regulatory frameworks associated with this would also be desirable.

Responsibilities:

  • Compliance with the mandatory Cabinet Office PSN (Public Sector Network) Code of Connection requires the Council to meet a baseline personal security standard. This requires completion of a disclosure check for all employees who can access official information. The fee for this PSN Disclosure check will be met by you.
