We are looking for a motivated individual to join our Business Services Operational Support and Finance Team. You will be responsible for providing effective financial support to a number of Council services. Responsibilities include raising purchase orders, raising and payment of invoices, cash work, and reconciliations. Also, the administration and record keeping of Free School Meals.
Word-processing, spreadsheet, keyboard and clerical skills; SVQ 2 or equivalent is an acceptable alternative for these skills. Previous office experience, demonstrating a working knowledge of the relevant procedures; communication, relevant software and computer skills.

Please note that it is Midlothian Council's policy that successful applicants will be appointed to the first point on the salary scale. Based on 36 hours over 52 weeks per year, the minimum actual salary for this position is £14,595.79 per annum.

This requires completion of a disclosure check for all employees who can access official information. The fee for this PSN Disclosure check will be met by you.
Please note that Disclosure Scotland has changed the way certificates are issued. You will be notified by email from Disclosure Scotland that your certificate is available to view. Once you have viewed your certificate you will be allowed to share this with your employer and it is only available for 14 days from the first day you have viewed the certificate.
