Knowledge

The British Institute of Cleaning Science, C.O.P.C. Stage 2 is essential and a certificate for SVQ level 2 in supervision or equivalent or demonstrating a proven track record as a supervisor in a Facility Services environment is essential. Jobholders must have experience demonstrating an ability to plan maintenance programmes, implement work rosters, delegate duties and to undertake a range of demanding tasks. It is essential jobholders can demonstrate some basic do it yourself skill/experience. Ideally jobholders will also have experience in working in a supervisory level in a facility Services environment.

Requirements

This post is considered Regulated Work with Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act, 2007. Therefore, it is an offence to apply if you are barred from working with children. Successful candidates will require PVG Scheme membership for Regulated Work with Children. You will be required to join the Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check prior to commencing employment with Midlothian Council, the cost of which will be met by you.
