Proficiency in the use of all Microsoft Office packages is essential and experience of other project management tools would be desirable.

Proven experience of working with a wide range of statistical and other data sources, involving data collection, collation, analysis and interpretation Ability to demonstrate expertise, familiarity and confidence in information handling, analysis and interpretation.

Ability to demonstrate familiarity and confidence in use and development of spreadsheet applications and relational databases.

Ability to think creatively and to discern trends and potential relationship between data sources, and to initiate research activity using a range of data sources.

Ability to prepare and present reports on data, both a technical and non-technical nature, tailored, as appropriate, to the audience.

Status: Fixed term until 31/12/2027 Monday – Friday Please note that it is Midlothian Councils policy that successful applicants will be appointed to the first point on the salary scale.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act, 2007.
