Social Work with SSSC registration as a social worker is an acceptable alternative together with a Mental Health Officer academic qualification. The essential qualifications for a Social Worker within the Mental Health Team are a degree in Social Work and registration with the SSSC as a Social Worker. A Diploma in Social Work with SSSC registration as a social worker is also an acceptable alternative together with a Mental Health Officer academic qualification.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act, 2007.
