The Centre-Coordinator will be based in the Woodburn Community Hub.

Essential

  • Evidence of competency in literacy and numeracy skills, such as a minimum of three standard grades level 3 passes or above to include Mathematics and English, or SVQ2, or equivalent.
  • Fully competent in use of Microsoft Office suite of software in order to input/analyse data, produce reports and publicity materials.
  • Knowledge of Condeco, Integra and Cognisoft would be advantageous.

Desirable

  • HNC Working in Communities and Management Qualification.
  • IOSH Managing Safely Certificate.
  • First Aid at Work Certificate.

Contract Status: Fixed Term until 31/03/2026

Hours of Work: 21

Working Pattern: Tuesday- Friday but flexibility is available.

Weeks per year: 52

Please note that it is Midlothian Council's policy that successful applicants will be appointed to the first point on the salary scale. Based on 21 hours over 52 weeks per year, the minimum actual salary for this position is £16,590.11 per annum.

Requirements:

This post is considered Regulated Work with Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act, 2007. Therefore, it is an offence to apply if you are barred from working with children. Successful candidates will require PVG Scheme membership for Regulated Work with Children. You will be required to join the Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check prior to commencing employment with Midlothian Council, the cost of which will be met by you.
