Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 2 Receptionist role at our Lichfield, Rugeley and Burton-on-Trent Sexual Health services. This part‑time position is 30 hours a week.

Responsibilities

  • Support service users to access all aspects of the Integrated Sexual Health Service.
  • Provide full range of customer service duties: meet and greet users, book appointments, take phone calls, record messages and pass them on appropriately.
  • Maintain patient/client records in accordance with Information Management policies; update demographics and clinic details on the Inform system.
  • Prepare, retrieve, file paper clinical records and ensure compliance with filing, retention and destruction, including scanning and archiving as appropriate.
  • Provide telephone service to all users, book appointments using the Inform EPR system and signpost to other spokes and services.
  • Support the closure of clinical venues (with nursing staff) when working at a clinic location as necessary.
  • Provide general administrative support to the ISH Service as directed by the Service Support Manager.

Qualifications

Qualified Receptionist with experience in a health service setting. Strong organisational and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Familiarity with the Inform system or a similar electronic patient record system is an advantage.
