Overview
As a Registered Mental Health Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high quality clinical service to service users and their families and carers. You will participate in therapeutic group work programmes as well as taking the lead where appropriate. You will be required to administer medication and assess each individual\’s care needs in order to develop, implement and evaluate programmes of care. You will also be required to support student nurses on placement. You will need to be NMC registered and you will be required to work within the NMC Code of Practice and Professional guidelines.

About the ward and centre
Redwoods Centre is situated in the rural town of Shrewsbury, Shropshire. The hospital offers mental health care and treatment across a variety of different age ranges and presentations. Oak Ward is a mixed gender, Dementia Service ward, made up of 16 beds. We also support older adults with a functional mental health diagnosis.
