Midlands Football Development Centre provides high-quality, structured football coaching for boys and girls aged U7–U16. Our mission is to develop confident, capable players in a supportive, positive environment that emphasises long-term player progression and enjoyment of the game.

We are looking for a passionate and professional Lead Football Coach to join our team and help deliver engaging, high-standard training sessions at our development centres. You will lead sessions, support player growth, and contribute to a positive coaching culture that reflects our values.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, deliver and lead dynamic football coaching sessions for players aged U7–U16.
  • Create a positive, fun and challenging learning environment that focuses on technique, game understanding and player development.
  • Promote high standards of behaviour, participation and enjoyment at all times.
  • Provide constructive feedback to players and engage effectively with parents.
  • Support the development of session plans, themes and coaching content alongside other coaches.
  • Maintain a safe coaching environment and adhere to safeguarding policies.
Person Specification
  • Essential: Enthusiastic about football and working with young people. Good communication and organisational skills. Experience coaching children in group settings. Reliable, professional and positive attitude.
  • Desirable: FA coaching qualification (e.g., FA Level 1 or above). Experience in youth development or academy environments. Enhanced DBS/Police Check and safeguarding training.
