# Domestic Assistant£12.76 - £13.16 Per hour Leicester, LE8 Full timeOpen until 30 July 2027## About this role### Responsibilities:* Prioritise the cleanliness and hygiene of resident rooms, communal areas, and shared spaces, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for all residents.* Adhere to relevant housekeeping policies, procedures, and infection‐control practices within the care home.* Work collaboratively with the wider care team, fostering a positive and supportive working environment.* Maintain hygiene in domestic and laundry areas, following COSHH regulations and infection‐prevention measures.* Monitor and report stock levels for cleaning supplies, ensuring safe storage of chemicals. Support residents respectfully when handling personal clothing or belongings, promoting dignity and comfort.* Participate in comprehensive training programmes throughout the year, including mandatory and supplementary online and practical courses.* Complete our induction programme to enhance your skills in delivering high‐quality housekeeping support.* Available for a range of shift patterns, including part‐time and full‐time positions.### Qualifications and Skills:* No prior experience is necessary as full training will be provided; however, experience in a care home or hospitality environment is welcomed.* Basic numeracy and literacy skills, with good spoken English or a required language of service users.* A team‐oriented attitude, excellent interpersonal skills, and eagerness to learn.* Reliable, adaptable, and proactive in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene.* Patient, empathetic, and calm under pressure, able to handle stressful situations professionally.* Enhanced DBS Check will be undertaken as part of the recruitment process.### About Midlands CareAt Midlands Care, we are dedicated to providing exceptional care and support within our group of care homes throughout the Midlands.
