A rare opportunity has arisen for a CHIS Digital Developer to join our award-winning CHIS/Digital team and support the successful implementation of a range of strategic CHIS digital projects across all relevant Business Units/Directorates in Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust (HCT). We are looking for an individual who is passionate, motivated, reliable and has excellent analytical & organisational skills with previous experience in a similar role. A keen eye for detail, with the ability to work alone or as part of a team, escalating any risks and issues as necessary. The candidate should be a competent and established user of SQL, VB script, C#, ASP.
Main duties
- Gathering process requirements, development and maintenance.
- Confident and familiar with using XML, Microsoft BI Server Stack (SQL, SSMS, SSDT, SSRS, SSAS), C#, VB Script, JavaScript, CSS, SQL server Management Studio.
- The post holder will be confident in presenting complex information in various internal and external forums.
- Subject matter expert in e-form development, automation and maintenance.
- The post holder will have a range of skills, including process analysis, advanced technical knowledge, problem solving, analytical and development skills.
- Undertake any other duties as may reasonably be considered as falling under the remit and responsibilities of this post.
- To manage own work activities to ensure all target objectives are delivered.
- To liaise with the line manager on a regular basis to review progress against plan and where necessary to seek advice and guidance.

Detailed Job Description And Main Responsibilities
The post holder will be responsible for developing and establishing various digital processes using a multitude of systems including automation platforms. The Developer will be responsible for designing, building, testing and providing support for a number of business processes including the creation and maintenance of automated processes. The post holder will participate in the entire process development life cycle including writing process definition documents, deploying and monitoring the processes. The post holder will manage developments for the CHIS/Digital team, this includes; supporting statutory and contractual reporting, ad hoc information analysis, structured digital solutions, service planning and all technical data/database and information issues. The post holder will provide leadership to support the CHIS/Digital team to deliver all service elements through the provision of robust intelligence and effective data and information management. The post-holder will aid the delivery of the CHIS Digital transformation, Digital Strategy and aid HCTs vision of one digital front door, with direct working links to corporate and operational services within HCT.

- Masters in a relevant specialism or demonstrable equivalent level of knowledge gained through experience in similar roles.

Experience And Knowledge
- Essential ability to create concise, effective documentation of computer processes and systems.
- Experience in designing and implementing computer systems, relational databases, data warehouses and reporting environments.
- Experience in the delivery of reporting solutions (reports and dashboards) SSRS, Tableau, Power BI.
- Experience of automation development.
- Experience of object-oriented development using C# and VB.Net; proficient working knowledge of SQL, JavaScript, HTML and CSS.

- Ability to manipulate, interpret and present complex, sensitive or contentious information.
- Competent and established user of SQL, VB Script, C#, ASP.
- Ability to communicate complex technical issues to non-technical staff.
