We’re hiring for our dynamic Fleet & Equipment team. Earn a one-off payment of £1,250 upon successful completion of your 3-month probation period. Your base salary starts at £31,049pa with the potential to earn over £41,000 when factoring in unsocial and overtime rates, subject to shift availability. The role involves keeping our ambulances on the road so that frontline crews can treat patients promptly. Key Responsibilities

  • Servicing, maintenance, and repair of motor vehicles and equipment to the highest standard.
  • Fault diagnosis and repair of mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues.
  • Equipment testing and quality checks.
  • Recording details of diagnosis, work completed, and components used in line with Trust and manufacturer standards.

Person Specification

Education and Qualifications

  • HND in Mechanical/Electrical or Electronic Engineering or equivalent, OR demonstrated equivalent standard through experience/training.
  • Recognised Motor Vehicle Apprenticeship or training scheme.
  • Motor Vehicle Craft Studies Parts 1, 2 & 3 or Motor Vehicle Technicians Parts 1, 2 & 3 or BTEC equivalent.
  • Current clean driving licence.

Desirable Criteria

  • C1 on driving licence.

Essential Experience

  • Previous working experience with a variety of vehicles and equipment.
  • Significant experience in fault finding/diagnosis within a vehicle/electronic/mechanical/engineering field.
  • Proficient experience using diagnostic equipment for fault finding in medical devices and equipment.
  • Experience using a range of complex tools and equipment to carry out technical/engineering repairs.

Desirable Experience

  • Significant experience in servicing and repairing medical equipment.
  • Experience diagnosing and repairing vehicles and equipment in a supervisory/management capacity.

This role does not meet the criteria for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship under current Home Office regulations. You must have the existing right to work in the UK to be considered for this position.
