Overview
Are you ready to use your asset management and administrative skills in a way that makes a positive impact on peoples lives? If so, we have a fantastic opportunity to become a member of our Digital Service Delivery Team within the Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust.
Reporting to the Senior Manager within Digital Service Delivery, your role will be to optimise our IT resources by developing and maintaining asset management processes, managing hardware and software assets throughout their lifecycle, and the development and maintenance of Digital’s CMDB.
Main duties and responsibilities
The primary purpose of this role is to work within Digital Operations to optimise our IT resources by developing and maintaining asset management processes, managing hardware and software assets throughout their lifecycle, and the development and maintenance of Digital’s CMDB.
- Contribute to asset and budget planning.
- Ensure robust policies and procedures while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
- Promote asset efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and innovation within the Trust.
- Engage in project work providing specialist input and act as a technical resource; able to work on tasks with limited input from line management.
- Provide specialist advice across several system areas, including the ITSM and Network scanning tools used within the department.
- Aid strategic planning of the Digital infrastructure within specialised areas to ensure it remains fit for purpose.
- Manage and deliver projects for internal infrastructure upgrades and decommissions, as well as new services to end users.

Essential criteria
- Relevant degree level (or equivalent) or ability to demonstrate equivalent knowledge, skills and experience.
- ITIL Service Management foundation certification or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience
- Evidence of continued professional development.
Desirable criteria
- ILM Qualification.
- Project Management Qualification.
- Industry certifications related to IT asset management or software licensing, such as CSAM, CITAM, or other relevant qualifications.
Experience

- Experience in a medium to large organisation supporting users of IT equipment and systems
- Experience in a customer focused environment

- Experience installing/supporting clinical applications within NHS environment
Knowledge and Skills
Essential criteria
- Advanced knowledge of a broad range of IT solutions, including ITSM, Software Inventory and Reporting Tools.
- Able to evaluate and define use of new IT solutions through research and development and build of test configurations.
- Experience in managing Digital assets.
- Creation and implementation of processes and procedures.
- Proven ability to develop and deliver strategic plans.
- A comprehensive understanding of IT Service Asset Management principles, processes, and best practices related to IT asset management, including lifecycle management, procurement, deployment, and disposal.
- Awareness of industry standards and best practices related to IT asset and software license management (e.g., ITIL).
