For 35 years, Midlands Air Ambulance Charity has been there for people facing some of the most critical moments of their lives, delivering lifesaving emergency care across the Midlands. As we celebrate this significant milestone and embark on an exciting new chapter, we’re looking for an exceptional Communications Manager to play a leading role in shaping how we tell our story, strengthen our reputation and inspire support for our vital work. As a charity that relies purely on donations and receives no government funding for its daily missions, effective communications play a crucial role in sustaining our lifesaving service.
About the role: This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking charity at a pivotal moment in its development. Reporting to the Head of Marketing & Communications, you’ll lead the charity’s communications function, developing and delivering an integrated communications strategy that strengthens awareness, engagement and reputation.
- You’ll oversee media relations, content development, major publications, internal and stakeholder communications and thought leadership activity.
- Work closely with colleagues across marketing and fundraising to support income generation campaigns and organisational priorities.
This is a role for someone who enjoys combining strategic thinking with hands-on delivery and is excited by the opportunity to shape and grow a communications function at a charity where great storytelling directly helps save lives.

Alongside our emergency service, we engage thousands of people each year through fundraising, retail, volunteering, education and community outreach activities, helping ensure our service remains available for future generations.
