Midland Heart’s Housing Services team is hiring a Rent Setting & Service Charge Officer for an approximate 9‑month term. You’ll join a small team during a busy period of reviewing and setting our annual rents and service charges for 70,000 tenants (shared owners, leaseholders and freeholders). Your role is key to coordinating rent and service charge setting and keeping tenants informed of upcoming changes.
Responsibilities
- Respond to a high volume of rent/service charge queries in writing and/or over the phone via a central inbox.
- Coordinate timely responses to tenant queries and complaints by liaising with various internal teams.
- Use PowerBI reports and Excel to calculate accurate service charges.
- Coordinate mail merges to tenants.
- Provide guidance and support to managers and colleagues on rent and service charges.

Desired Qualifications
- Working knowledge of legislation affecting rents and service charges in the social housing sector.
- Significant experience using Excel for data review and accurate calculations, including XLOOKUP, SUMIF, etc.

- Broad experience using a range of IT packages, including Microsoft Office and internal systems.
Work arrangement: office-based minimum 3 days per week with 2 days working from home.
