Are you a creative and ambitious Communications professional, seeking a new opportunity? If so, we’re seeking a Colleague Communications Officer to join our team and help drive the delivery of our colleague communications strategy. We’re on a journey to embed our Midland Heart Mindset with colleagues and the delivery of our Corporate Plan, where our whole focus is to put tenants at the heart of what we do.

Working closely with the Colleague Communications Manager, you will creatively and proactively deliver an established high-profile calendar of internal communications campaigns and events that embed the Midland Heart Mindset and improve the way we all work. As a key member of our well-respected, high-performing team, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Planning and delivering effective colleague communications in line with our strategy, values, and business objectives, including our annual employee engagement survey and associated action plans.
  • Supporting the wider team to build and deliver timely communication and engagement plans for core business projects.
  • Working with stakeholders to understand the needs of a diverse staff base and translating those needs into effective plans to increase engagement.
  • Acting as the key point of contact for our central channels, including the Intranet, eNews, and Managers’ Briefings, ensuring they are updated with high-quality, motivating content.
  • Proactively sourcing and producing compelling content, including blogs, news articles, and corporate updates.
  • Providing clear advice and guidance to staff on the use of our corporate branding and identity.

What we’re looking for? To be successful in this role, you’ll have:

  • A Qualification in Internal Communications or experience in delivering internal communications and engagement activity within a professional environment.
  • Strong writing skills with the ability to produce high-quality content for a variety of digital and traditional channels.
  • The ability to work with a broad range of stakeholders to drive projects forward.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a keen eye for detail regarding branding and corporate identity.

Working with Midland Heart: Our colleagues deliver services from the location that they are best delivered on any given day. This means that you should expect to work from a Midland Heart site as a minimum 3 days a week (on average).
