Are you a proactive professional with an eye for detail and a passion for risk management? Do you thrive in a role where your investigative skills and coordination can protect an organisation's assets and reputation? As an Insurance Officer, you'll provide critical support to our Head of Governance and the wider Insurance function. You will play a key role in ensuring we meet our KPIs and SLAs, managing the end-to-end claims process, and helping to foster a culture of risk awareness across the business.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Claims Management & Investigation: Set up new claims and notify insurers promptly. You will collaborate with stakeholders including legal representatives, brokers, and internal teams to gather evidence, identify witnesses, and investigate claims to effectively determine liability.
- Financial Recovery & Compliance: Recover and reconcile insurance funds from insurers and third parties. You will process payments and purchase orders while ensuring all files are maintained and archived in strict accordance with Data Protection legislation.
- Risk Analysis & Reporting: Monitor insurance claims to identify trends and assist in implementing risk mitigation measures. You will support the Head of Governance by creating and amending reports, dashboards, and internal processes.
- Renewals & Strategic Support: Assist with annual renewals and tender exercises, including conducting full portfolio valuations. You will also provide guidance and training to other departments to ensure company-wide compliance with insurance regulations.
- General Administration: Act as the first point of contact for insurance-related telephone and email enquiries, take minutes at meetings, and stay informed about industry trends and best practices.
What We're Looking For:
- A member of or someone studying towards accreditation from the Chartered Insurance Institute.
- Experience in insurance administration, claims handling, or a similar risk-based environment.
- Experience of financial administration such as reconciling funds, raising purchase orders, and processing invoices.
- Proven ability to analyse data, identify trends, and produce high-quality reports and dashboards.
- Experience within the Property, Housing or Building sector.
