We’ve got an exciting opportunity for a Home Ownership Officer to join us for approx. 12 months on a Fixed-term Contract / Secondment basis, where you’ll manage all aspects of leasehold and estate management across our Leasehold and Shared Ownership properties, ensuring the service delivered meets our residents' needs and enhances tenant experience. This is a fantastic chance to join an established experienced team and develop your skill set in housing!
As a Home Ownership Officer, you’ll deliver a high-quality lease and estate management service that reduces the risk of harm to residents, damage to our assets and tenancy failure, through professional and timely interventions. This is a varied role based out in the community where you’ll manage approximately 600 properties, across the Midland Heart portfolio, including the West and East Midlands.
Responsibilities- Oversee the management of housing management services with a focus on safety and performance.
- Form effective relationships with residents to maximise the duration of their tenancy from sign-up to termination.
- Undertake building compliance checks and respond to emergency building safety/compliance concerns.
- Procure and manage contracts for services, ensuring Leaseholders are consulted on works in line with relevant legislation.
- Contribute to the setting and collection of service charges and rent.
- Collaborate with residents in order to shape, develop and continually improve our services.
We’re seeking a person who can build relationships with a broad range of stakeholders and seeks to improve service delivery at every opportunity! You’ll also demonstrate the following skills and experience:
- Experience of working in a complex customer services or Housing Management role with experience or applied understanding of Leasehold matters.
- Experience of delivering customer focused services and service improvements that recognise the needs of the end user and promote high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Experience of using a range of IT programmes, including Microsoft Office and in-house systems.
- The ability to prioritise and organise a busy workload, whilst working independently in a multi-site environment.
- A high level of written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills.
You’ll be required to travel regularly for this role, therefore our ideal candidate will either hold a full UK driving licence or evidence the ability to travel throughout the area of operation to sites that are inaccessible via public transport.
