Make your summer count – design work that impacts lives, not just your CV. We're a housing association, here to provide safe, affordable homes and to build stronger communities across the Midlands. And we're offering students the chance to join our Communications & External Affairs team – where you'll use your design skills to help shape the way we engage with our tenants, colleagues, and communities.
Summer Internship: 8-10 weeks between 15th June – August 2026
Your Role:
- Your designs won't gather dust. From tenant newsletters and social media campaigns to corporate publications, the work you create will be seen and used by thousands.
- Working alongside our in-house Communications team, you'll gain valuable experience that will stand out on your CV and portfolio.
- Your day to day will see you:
- Creating engaging visual content for campaigns, reports, presentations, digital channels and print.
- Supporting our internal communications and external communications and marketing teams with maintaining our brand identity across all materials.
- Collaborating with colleagues across the organisation to bring their messages to life visually.
- Taking part in project work, mentoring, and development activities as part of your internship.
What we're looking for:
- Currently studying (or recently completed) a degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related discipline.
- A creative thinker with a good eye for detail.
- Confidence using design software (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar).
- A portfolio of your work (coursework, personal projects, or freelance) to showcase your skills.
- Enthusiasm, openness to feedback, and a genuine desire to learn.
