We have an exciting opportunity for an Estates Officer to join us on a 12-month Fixed-Term Contract to help deliver a high-quality estate management service to our tenants, ensuring their property is one they are proud to call home. Your role will be to deliver a high-quality estate management service that reduces the risk of harm to residents, damage to our assets and tenancy failure, through professional and timely interventions.
Day‑to‑day responsibilities:
- Oversee the management of all communal and non‑communal spaces with a focus on safety and performance, managing our contracts.
- Proactively manage abandonments, pest and vermin treatments and estate improvements.
- Oversee Health and Safety functions including managing emergency response plans and fire risk actions.
- Form effective relationships with customers to maximise the duration of their tenancy from sign‑up to termination.
- Collaborate with customers in order to shape, develop and continually improve our services.
You'll be required to travel for this role regularly, therefore our ideal candidate will either hold a full UK driving licence or evidence of the ability to travel throughout the area of operation. To deliver this role successfully, expect to be out on patch 4 days per week with 1 day per week working from Bath Row, West Midlands Hub or from home dependent on business needs.
Our Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience within a housing management or estates role; managing complex patches, including oversight of grounds maintenance, cleaning services, and resolving environmental issues such as fly‑tipping and pest control.
- Experience of collaborating with external agencies, including the Police and Local Authorities, to address and resolve community‑level issues.
- Practical knowledge and experience of building safety regimes, including conducting fire safety checks, site walkarounds, and maintaining rigorous safety checklists.
- Ability to manage a dynamic and demanding patch, with the flexibility to reprioritise tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
