Joining Midland Heart as an Assistant Management Accountant, you'll gain an industry recognised qualification and hands‑on industry experience required to firmly establish yourself as an Accounting professional. You will join our well‑respected Commercial Finance team, gaining full exposure to Management Accounting while partnering directly with Business Managers in our Property Investment area to support our modern living housing targets.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Handling core accounting tasks, including journals, accruals, and prepayments.
  • Driving budget setting and forecasting.
  • Holding monthly budget monitoring meetings with key business managers.

Our ideal candidate?

  • Qualified or part‑qualified in a professional accounting qualification (ACMA / ACCA / ACA).
  • Has experience of accounting in a large/complex organisation, including the preparation of journals, budgets and forecasts.
  • Is able to demonstrate practical application of Excel skills in an accounting/finance setting (VLOOKUPs, SUMIF, Pivot Tables etc.).
  • Has the ability to analyse financial information and work with stakeholders to ensure effective budget management.

In this role, you can expect to work from the office a minimum of 3 days per week. Based on business needs, particularly around month‑end, time spent working from the office may increase.
