Responsibilities

  • Assisting with stock condition surveys across Midland Heart properties
  • Supporting Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) surveys and property data collection
  • Accompanying experienced surveyors on property inspections to develop technical surveying knowledge
  • Assisting with maintaining accurate survey records and asset information systems
  • Supporting the preparation of reports and survey outputs
  • Working with colleagues to ensure customers receive a positive experience during surveys
  • Supporting compliance with health & safety standards and relevant regulations
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of surveying processes and service delivery

Qualifications

  • Demonstrable experience or exposure within housing, construction, property maintenance, surveying, facilities management, or a similar built environment setting.
  • Relevant qualifications, training, or studies in Building Surveying, Construction, Property Maintenance, Real Estate, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience carrying out inspections, audits, site visits, compliance checks, or maintaining accurate property or operational records and reports.
  • Experience working independently in a field‑based or operational role, including use of digital systems/databases and an understanding of health & safety requirements.
  • A full UK driving licence, or willingness to work towards obtaining one.

Midland Heart operates Smart Working practices, through which colleagues deliver services from the location that best suits them on any given day. The successful candidate should therefore expect to work from a Midland Heart site a minimum of 3 days per week, with the remainder worked remotely.
