We're looking for an experienced Reward Manager to lead the development and delivery of Midland Heart's reward, benefits and pensions strategy.
This is a specialist, high-impact role combining strategic reward leadership, complex pensions governance, executive-level advice and market insight.
You'll play a key role in ensuring our reward offering attracts, retains and engages talented colleagues who deliver excellent outcomes for our tenants.
About the role
Reporting to the Director of People, and working closely with the Executive Team and Remuneration Committee, you'll lead our approach to reward, benefits and pensions, ensuring our offer is competitive, inclusive, compliant and aligned to our values and corporate objectives.
Key focus areas will include
- Leading the annual pay review process and providing robust advice on pay, benefits, recognition and executive remuneration.
- Developing and managing a market-leading benefits offer that supports wellbeing, financial resilience and colleague experience.
- Acting as Midland Heart's pensions expert, including overseeing governance of a legacy defined benefit scheme through to insurance buyout.
- Using insight, benchmarking and analysis to advise the Executive Team and Board and influence strategic decisions.
- Building trusted relationships with senior leaders, governance groups, providers, auditors and colleagues across the business.
- Managing a specialist Reward Advisor and working closely with People team colleagues to drive continuous improvement across the reward agenda.
About you
We're looking for someone who combines technical excellence with commercial thinking and outstanding relationship-building skills.
You'll be comfortable working with detail, influencing senior stakeholders and providing clear, evidence-based recommendations.
You'll bring experience of
- Leading reward, benefits and pensions in a complex organisation
- Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution pension governance and provider management
- Designing reward strategies that attract, retain and motivate talent
- Executive remuneration
- Pay benchmarking and market analysis
- Working with Boards, Committees and senior stakeholders
- Reward legislation including National Minimum Wage, equal pay, gender pay reporting and pay transparency
- Implementing change and delivering service improvements
Professional membership (such as MCIPD or MCIPP) or equivalent experience is expected.
