Are you a proactive and technically skilled Infrastructure Engineer looking for your next challenge? We’re hiring an Infrastructure Engineer to help maintain and evolve our hybrid cloud infrastructure in a fast-paced, demanding business environment. This hands-on role sits within our IT Operations function and focuses on delivering robust technology services across Cabot Credit Management with a particular emphasis on UK operations. You’ll be providing 3rd line support across a wide range of infrastructure platforms, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure our systems are secure, scalable, and reliable. What you can expect as an Infrastructure Engineer:

  • Salary of up to £63,500
  • Perm Hybrid role from our Kings Hill office, ME19 4UA.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Support service availability including assistance during major incidents.
  • Support resolution of high-impact or complex technical issues, including out-of-hours support.
  • Drive escalation tickets to resolution in a timely manner.
  • Provide technical input and support for internal and external project delivery.
  • Ensure a security focused approach is embedded in solution design and daily operations.
  • Deliver vulnerability and patch management across infrastructure, performing preventative maintenance.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure.
  • Contribute to IT governance across technology, services, processes, and information security.
  • Support audit and compliance activities, including Sarbanes-Oxley, PCI-DSS, ensuring adherence to IT controls.
  • Operate within ITIL frameworks, supporting change, incident, and problem management.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of infrastructure technologies and industry trends.

We are looking for someone with:

Essential:

  • Strong expertise in Windows Server Desktop platforms.
  • Experience scripting in PowerShell or similar.
  • Citrix (AppLayering DaaS VDI’s Netscaler Load balancer).
  • Experience with VMware (ESXi vCenter vSAN).
  • Microsoft Exchange (2016/2019 Hybrid), Office 365.
  • Worked with Dell Servers & Blade hardware (Dell OME iDRAC).
  • NetApp SAN storage or similar.
  • Backup Management.
  • Active Directory (Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, Hardening).
  • Azure Entra AD.
  • Windows/SQL clustering with exposure to Always On configuration.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills.
  • Understanding of ITIL processes and service management.

Desirable:

  • Veeam backup solutions.
  • Hyper Converged Infrastructure (VxRail, NSX, Aria Operations for Networks Logs).
  • Azure administration (servers, storage, networking, Intune).
  • Linux Administration.
  • Monitoring tools (e.g., PRTG).
  • Ivanti patching and deployment.
