At Cabot, we’re looking for a Senior Business Analyst to lead the analysis, definition and design of complex change across the business. This is a hands‑on, senior practitioner role focused on solving problems, shaping solutions, and ensuring outcomes deliver real value. You’ll work closely with Product, Technology and Operations teams to make sure change is clearly defined, feasible and aligned to business goals. With a high degree of autonomy, you’ll tackle ambiguity head‑on, applying sound judgement and influencing decisions across cross‑functional teams.

Key Responsibilities Include
- Support delivery of complex business and technology change, ensuring analysis is high quality and consistent.
- Lead requirements definition and solution design from problem statement through to delivery.
- Apply advanced analysis techniques (process modelling, impact, root cause, options and data analysis) to shape solutions.
- Elicit, analyse and document business needs into clear, high‑quality artefacts (e.g. user stories, process models, acceptance criteria, business rules).
- Collaborate with technical teams to design pragmatic, scalable solutions, maintaining traceability from business need to outcome.
- Ensure non‑functional, operational, regulatory and risk considerations are captured early and embedded in design.
- Manage and refine backlogs, ensuring work is clearly defined, prioritised and delivery ready.
- Support the full change lifecycle, including testing, implementation, business readiness and handover.
- Facilitate workshops to explore problems, define solutions and drive decisions.
- Present clear recommendations, including risks, impacts, trade‑offs and constraints.
- Identify risks and dependencies early, proposing mitigations to maintain delivery momentum.
- Ensure outcomes deliver intended business value, contributing to review and continuous improvement.
- Champion strong business analysis practices and share learning to improve delivery maturity.
We Are Looking For Someone With
- Proven experience operating as a Senior Business Analyst within complex, technical and/or regulated environments.
- Strong command of core and advanced business analysis disciplines including requirements elicitation, process modelling, gap analysis, options analysis, benefits realisation and non‑functional requirements.
- Experience working across digital, systems, data and operational change, with the ability to bridge business and technical perspectives.
- Practical experience working in agile, waterfall and hybrid delivery models, adapting techniques pragmatically to suit the delivery context.
- Highly developed analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to deal effectively with complexity and ambiguity.
- Strong facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills, able to challenge constructively and build trusted relationships.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of explaining complex concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Familiarity with tooling such as Azure DevOps (or equivalent), process modelling and collaboration tools.
