The predicted salary is between 24000 - 30000 € per year.
Assist with the provision of a front of house service and presence for the College, acting as a liaison point for staff and students and working as part of the Facilities team to enforce a safe, orderly culture within a caring, disciplined and supportive environment. This role is 37 hours a week and 52 weeks a year.
Responsibilities
- Work a shift pattern across the college opening hours, supporting college events including door supervision and crowd control.
- Assist with locking/unlocking of the site, providing a welcoming and friendly front line service to students, staff and visitors whilst maintaining access control.
- Check and ensure ID’s are worn at all times by everyone.
- Provide cover for reception/goods in areas out of hours and during the core hours as required.
- Maintain high visibility and vigilance, carrying out internal and external patrols to deter and detect crime, vandalism and acts of violence against college users and assets.
- Respond to all security related incidents, providing backup and assistance when required to other staff.
- Assist with College/Campus alarm, fire and emergency procedures and evacuations.
- Undertake escort duties for cash handlers and other college users as required.
- Direct, encourage, motivate and support students, including vulnerable students, who may present challenging behaviour.
- Assist all staff to ensure compliance with the student disciplinary process and manage all incidents which occur on College premises.
- Contact external services for support if deemed a requirement e.g. Police, Ambulance, Fire.
- Assist with the investigation of incidents, including interviews, personnel or property searches and securing confiscated items.
- Utilise CCTV monitoring, and data capture as directed by management, including reporting any faulty cameras as necessary.
- Assist with traffic management including the monitoring of parking, access to parking and security of carparks.
- Complete regular building checks as instructed including visual inspections of equipment, furnishings, external doors, all access points and CCTV.
- Report any repairs required to maintain the condition of the building.
- Maintain factual and accurate records of service activity, logging incidents on relevant IT systems.
- Participate in handover meetings with detailed reports.
- Assist with the training of new employees and support for agency security personnel.
- All post holders will be required to be trained to act as Fire Marshals and First Aiders.
