Work as part of a team to support the department in meeting the College's objectives and targets set out in the strategic plan, supporting teaching staff in the preparation and execution of appropriate practical teaching sessions, ensuring the reliable and timely availability of materials and equipment.
Main Responsibilities and Duties:
- To take responsibility for the Engineering workshop and storerooms, by ensuring they are safe, tidy and appropriately resourced.
- Working with the Engineering Team to review and develop the resources required to deliver the relevant levels of qualification offered by the College, including supporting teaching staff in the delivery of practical teaching sessions.
- Prepare and maintain practical facilities and associated equipment, including planning routine servicing and maintenance, ensuring they are in first class order, and readily available for teaching staff.
- Deal with materials, tools and equipment for workshop sessions, including maintaining stock levels, ordering, unloading of delivered materials, preparation for sessions, issuing to students and monitoring its use.
