Ever thought about turning your passion for supporting young people into a career that inspires and empowers? As a Youth Engagement Officer, you’ll be at the heart of student life — sparking curiosity, building confidence and helping learners develop the skills and independence they need to thrive. This role is for 2.5 days and is term time only. Please note the salary advertised will be pro-rata'd.

Main Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Promote positive behaviour, punctuality and engagement through induction, enrichment and themed activities.
  • Support and challenge students to uphold our College values and manage low-level behavioural issues in line with policy.
  • Provide advice and support on behaviour and conduct, working closely with curriculum teams, Security and Student Liaison Officers.
  • Manage a small caseload of ‘at-risk’ students, monitoring attendance and progress to ensure success.
  • Build relationships with students through daily youth work and enrichment activities, creating safe, inclusive social spaces.
  • Plan and deliver events and activities that support personal development and wellbeing.
  • Liaise with staff and support teams to identify barriers to success and signpost students to appropriate help.
