The predicted salary is between 24000 - 36000 £ per year.

Work with employers to identify roles for young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) that are a good match for their strengths and aspirations, providing coaching and guidance to interns within their workplaces and working with employers to ensure they have the skills and confidence to maintain employment after the end of the Supported Internship. This will include contributing to the achievement of learner outcomes and having a key role in their success.
This role is 18 hours per week and 40 weeks per year.
The following is an indication of the type and level of the main priorities expected of this role as directed by your line manager and is not intended to be a comprehensive list of duties or tasks:
1. Apply supported employment values and ethics to engage with prospective interns who aspire to paid employment, enabling them to raise their aspirations and make informed decisions.
2. Create and agree development plans for interns to gain and maintain employment working in partnership with interns, their family/ carers, employers and communities.
3. Advise employers about the benefits, processes and practices to recruit and retain a diverse workforce, including negotiating any reasonable adjustments required to remove barriers to employment, whilst using appropriate assessment methods to identify the needs of interns and the analysis of jobs and employer requirements to enable a good job match.
4. Ensure employer understanding, assessment and mitigation of risk, including Health and Safety, Safeguarding and Information Governance.
5. Provide individualised support for interns in the workplace which meets their needs, including personal care needs where required and travel training for interns who require support to travel.
6. Enable individuals in supported employment to be productive and integrated in their workplace
7. Maintain accurate records which recognise and record the progress and achievement of interns and complete administrative tasks such as Access to Work claims.
8.Actively participate in Continuous Professional Development (CPD), in order to develop skills as a reflective supported employment practitioner.
