Overview
Higher Education Lecturer to deliver Pearson HNC/HND and University of Greenwich Top-Up Degrees to part‑time students and apprentices. Inspire curiosity, encourage ambition and help students achieve their very best.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high‑quality sessions in line with College and awarding body standards, creating engaging learning materials and lesson plans that inspire and support every student.
- Work closely with colleagues, the Quality team, and university partners to uphold academic standards through assessment, moderation, and quality assurance.
- Support the day‑to‑day running of courses, including timetables, communication, and providing cover where needed to keep things running smoothly.
- Assist with recruitment, induction, and enrolment – ensuring every student is on the right course and set up for success.
- Hold regular 1:1 meetings with students to set targets, offer academic and pastoral support, and guide them with UCAS applications and next steps.
- Monitor attendance, achievement, and progress, creating action plans where needed to keep students engaged and on track.
- Collaborate across departments, attend meetings and College events, and contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement.
- Complete course administration accurately and efficiently, maintaining up‑to‑date records on systems such as ProMonitor and the College VLE.
- Engage in CPD, peer observations, and quality assurance activities including moderation, verification, and the Self‑Assessment Review (SAR).
- Liaise with Higher Education partners to maintain strong working relationships and ensure a consistently high standard of delivery.
