Join us to inspire the next generation! We are looking for passionate, forward-thinking lecturers to join us for the next academic year 2026/2027. We are seeking a lecturer specialising in Art & Design to teach L1 and L2 students on our multi-disciplinary UAL Diploma provision at the MidKent Medway Campus.
You will have ownership of your own programme, together with a remit to foster external links with employers and industry. You will work with our Curriculum Managers to develop our L1 and L2 courses to ensure they are current and reflecting industry practice. You will have the expertise, enthusiasm and communication skills to inspire and motivate our diverse cohorts of students. Your outstanding teaching, learning and assessment skills will stretch and challenge our learners to be the best they can be.
Ideally, you will have recent teaching experience in a Secondary School or Further Education environment, experience and understanding of working with SEND students, together with contemporary experience of working within the Art & Design industries. You will hold a degree in an Art & Design subject, ideally have a teaching qualification, as well as GCSE A* - C / 9 - 4 in Maths and English or equivalent.
We require a lecturer with the following skillset:
- Drawing, painting & printmaking
- 3D design & construction
- Knowledge of a range of materials, techniques and processes
- Proficiency with relevant Adobe Creative Cloud Suite applications
- Contextual knowledge of historical and contemporary Art & Design
- Knowledge of sustainability and ethical practices within the Art & Design industries
- Have a creative or technical portfolio of work demonstrating practical experience
