The Role
We are looking for a Production Operative (Wirer/Jigger) to join the Operations team. The primary focus of this role is wiring and jigging small multi-pin connectors prior to plating, with the opportunity to learn electroplating and metal finishing processes over time. This is a precision-based role working with small components, requiring excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow strict procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Wire and jig small components prior to plating
- Read and follow work instructions, drawings, and process documentation
- Work to daily production plans and output targets
- Safely handle chemicals and materials within the plating department
- Carry out visual inspections, including use of magnification where required
- Use measuring equipment (including X-ray spectrometer) to check plating thickness
- Complete quality and production records accurately
- Follow all health & safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures
