Our client is seeking a committed and compassionate Support Worker - Criminal Justice to join their team covering the Yeovil and Taunton areas. This role provides essential support to individuals with complex needs who are involved in, or at risk of becoming involved in, the criminal justice system. You will help clients access accommodation, services, and community support to move forward safely and positively.
Key Responsibilities
- Build strong, effective working relationships with external agencies, including criminal justice partners, to ensure a coordinated support approach.
- Complete thorough needs and risk assessments to inform personalised support plans tailored to each client.
- Provide clear advice, guidance, and practical assistance to help clients access suitable services, resources, and accommodation.
- Support new clients as they move into the service, ensuring they understand their rights, responsibilities, and the terms of their licence agreement.
Experience & Skills Required
- A valid UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle (business insurance required).
- Experience supporting vulnerable adults, including those with complex needs or challenging behaviours.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with both clients and partner agencies.
Additional Information
- Frequent travel across Yeovil & Taunton is required.
- Participation in an out-of-hours on-call rota is expected.
- Candidates must be proactive, resilient, and able to work autonomously.
