Overview
National Account Manager (FMCG) based in Redhill, United Kingdom. This is a full-time role within an award-winning, employee-owned ambient food business specializing in import and distribution. The company has an international supply base in over 20 countries and serves major UK retailers and foodservice customers with Own Label and Branded products. Reports to the Sales & Marketing Director.

- Salary: Β£50,000 β Β£70,000 (DoE)
Responsibilities
- Take autonomy and responsibility for a major retail account
- Identify new business opportunities, follow up, and secure new lines
- Build and manage strong relationships with customer contacts across Sales, Supply Chain, Technical, Product Development, and Merchandising
- Collaborate with the internal Procurement team on new and existing business; assess market buying opportunities for customers
- Proactively manage customer stock levels with the internal Supply Chain team
- Work with the Category Insight Manager and Marketing Manager on best-in-class customer presentations using IRI and internal data
- Manage and report on sales and contract balances
Qualifications
- 2.1 or above in a relevant business degree
- Strong preference for a background in the food industry; other FMCG experience considered
- Minimum 3 years\β experience managing UK Retailers
- Own Label experience is preferable
- Proven ability to win new business and hands-on account management skills
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail
- Competitive and driven with strong IT skills; proficient with spreadsheets
