Overview
Production Maintenance Engineer (Rotating 2 Shift) β Job Type: Full-time. Working Hours: Rotating shifts, Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 3:00pm / 3:00pm to 11:00pm. Join our team as a Production Maintenance Engineer, where you will be integral to the maintenance operations within our injection moulding manufacturing areas. This role is suitable for someone who is detail-oriented and has a strong background in machinery maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Maintain all ancillary equipment and conveyors in the Injection Moulding and Regrind departments.
- Troubleshoot machine malfunctions and develop a planned preventative maintenance (PPM) plan.
- Ensure timely completion of maintenance work and monitor equipment performance.
- Maintain detailed maintenance records for each machine.
- Manage the receipt, identification, and storage of engineering materials/spares.
- Maintain a stock of essential spare parts onsite to minimize downtime.
- Update records of work activities, tasks carried out, parts used, and ensure smooth handover of instructions between shifts.
- Collaborate with manufacturers, suppliers, and internal departments to improve processes and increase machine reliability and performance.
- Oversee general site maintenance and manage site contractors working in the Injection Moulding department.
Health & Safety and Compliance
- Maintain machinery with Health and Safety regulations in mind.
- Conduct regular safety audits on each machine.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping onsite.
- Report any health and safety issues to the Production Manager.
- Use provided PPE in accordance with training and health and safety procedures.
Communication
- Keep the Production Manager and Operations Manager informed of any issues with machines or equipment.
- Ensure that any breakdowns or lost time are communicated to the Operations Manager and the Production Planner.
Other Duties
- Assist in the training and development of new employees.
- Work independently or as part of a team, without constant supervision.
- Cover for sickness and holiday periods as requested.
- Work overtime as needed to meet customer/work demands.
- Comply with requests from Team Leaders, Managers, and Directors.
- Notify the company at least one hour before a shift if unable to attend work.

- Proven experience in machinery maintenance, preferably in an injection moulding environment.
- Ability to develop and implement effective maintenance strategies.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Commitment to health and safety standards and continuous improvement.
