We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Grounds Maintenance Team Leader to take charge of a dedicated team maintaining parks, landscaped areas, and specialist horticultural spaces. Contract: 12‑week temporary role, with potential to move to a fixed‑term contract for the right candidate.
Location: Harlow
Pay Rate: £16.41 per hour
Hours:
- Monday-Thursday: 7:30 am – 3:30 pm
- Friday: 7:30 am – 1:15 pm
What You’ll Do:
- Lead and motivate a grounds maintenance team
- Liaise with local authority officers, stakeholders, and the public
- Oversee landscape improvement projects and specialist horticultural areas
- Maintain shrubs, hedges, trees, and ornamental planting
- Operate and maintain vehicles, plant, and equipment safely
- Ensure health and safety compliance at all times
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong horticultural knowledge and hands‑on experience
- Leadership and team management skills
- PA1 & PA6 chemical application certification
- IT skills for reporting and record‑keeping
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
- Experience in landscape improvement projects
- Knowledge of green space management policies
