Electrically Biased Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer – Location: Stradbroke. Full-time role offering a Monday to Friday schedule with no night shifts and potential overtime. Annual salary Β£46,000 – Β£52,000 plus overtime opportunities.

Overview

Reed Engineering are working with a well renowned company who are seeking an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their Engineering department. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a family-oriented business that values the care and consideration of its employees. The position is based at their Stradbroke site.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair electrical and mechanical plant equipment efficiently.
  • Undertake diagnostic and fault-finding procedures on various systems.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and general upkeep of plant equipment.
  • Respond to mechanical and electrical breakdowns promptly.
  • Assist with small projects and continuous improvements within the engineering department.
  • Commit to quality and safety standards, helping to keep the factory safe and compliant.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Electrically qualified and competent as a Multi-Skilled Engineer.
  • Previous experience in FMCG or the food industry, particularly with packaging, is beneficial.
  • High level of problem-solving skills, with experience in industrial electrical systems, plant machinery, and automated packaging machinery.
  • Ability to interpret electrical drawings and understand fluid power systems and drawings.
  • A balanced skill set in both electrical and mechanical disciplines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work closely and communicate effectively with staff and contractors at all levels.
  • Proactive in maintaining and updating planned preventative maintenance schedules.
  • General understanding of building and site services.
  • Capable of identifying faults or hazards and troubleshooting system failures.
  • Understanding of Health & Safety Policies.
  • Flexibility with daily working hours for handovers and occasional overtime.
