The Role
Due to a recent resignation, we are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our team. Through operating a variety of CNC machines, help to enhance the productivity of our organisation. The goal is to produce high quality parts and keep spindle time to a maximum.
Responsibilities
- Setting/operating high speed CNC machines to perform tasks such as milling, drilling, tapping, grinding, etc.
- General operation and supervision of machine shop machinery.
- Ensure all tooling, fixtures and CNC programs are available prior to commencing production.
- Keep accurate records of component quantities and scrap produced on the production documentation.
- Maintain high standards in production output and component quality.
- Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading mechanical drawings, etc.
- Basic editing of programs and tool tables.
- Take ownership of the component quality and records.
- Control, check and replace tooling and cutters.
- Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines.
- Check and refill lubricant levels.
- Knowledge and understanding of CNC 3-axis, 4-axis machining and Renishaw probing is required.
- Follow company safety systems and work protocol.
What You Will Need
The ideal candidate will have experience in operating CNC machinery and a strong mechanical aptitude. High attention to detail, excellent communication skills, the ability to work to deadlines and being organised and motivated are all necessary personal skills for this role.
