Middletown Centre for Autism is seeking to appoint a Human Resources Officer on a full-time, 1-year fixed-term contract to support the delivery of a professional, responsive, and high-quality HR service across the organisation.

The successful candidate will work closely with managers and staff to deliver a broad range of HR services, ensuring compliance with employment legislation, organisational policies, and best practice. The role will contribute to organisational effectiveness and support key HR and workforce initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide professional advice and guidance to managers and staff on HR policies, procedures, and best practice
  • Support end-to-end recruitment and selection processes, including onboarding
  • Assist with employee relations matters, including absence management, disciplinary and grievance processes
  • Maintain accurate HR records and ensure compliance with data protection requirements
  • Contribute to HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support learning and development activities across the organisation
  • Experience working in a Human Resources role or environment
  • Sound knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practice
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • CIPD qualification (or working towards)
  • Experience within the public, education, or health sector
  • Working Pattern: 4/5 days a week (Monday to Friday)
